It’s no secret that many people prefer e-books. All of my fitness and nutrition guides are designed as e-books because they’re convenient, versatile, and permanent—so you can keep them forever. E-books deliver more than a printed manual: they offer easy access across devices, interactive features, and the community that comes with the program. Save the e-book to all your devices so it’s always available. Some users prefer a physical copy and print the PDF through local services or at home. Others use their phone to track progress and jot notes as they go.
The digital format of GOOD // SWEAT Strength provides useful features like clickable video demonstrations, playlists, and, importantly, a weights/notes section for recording your daily lifts. Please use this feature: tracking your weights helps you plan future workouts and lets you review progress after the eight-week program. Seeing how far you’ve come is motivating and helps you make informed decisions about what to lift on any given day.
The simplest way to write directly into the guide is with the free Markup app. Below are clear, step-by-step instructions to help you import and annotate your e-book. If you have any questions, leave a comment and I’ll help.

- Save the guide to the device you’ll use. It can be stored in Google Drive, Dropbox, or the Files app on your phone or tablet.
- Open the Markup app and tap the “Files” tab in the bottom menu.
- Tap the “+” icon in the top-right corner and choose “Import.”
- Choose “Browse” or navigate to the location where your file is stored.
- Select the guide file and it will open in Markup.
- Use the text box, pen, or highlighter tools in the bottom toolbar to annotate. Many people find the text box ideal for filling in weights, notes, and reflections, while the pen or highlighter works well for checking off completed items. To reposition a text box, press and hold near the center of the box, then drag it where you want.
Note: hyperlinks inside the e-book appear highlighted in blue or purple within Markup, so they’re easy to spot and tap.
