This cookbook has been a long time in the making—officially since April 2021, but in many ways since I first started developing recipes in college. Writing a cookbook has been a dream for years, and seeing it come to life feels surreal. I’m deeply grateful for the support I’ve received; I couldn’t have done this without you.
From the beginning, my goal has been to inspire healthy, wholesome eating as the foundation for feeling your absolute best. Like the recipes on my blog, the book focuses on food that’s delicious, simple, and approachable. In total there are 110 recipes, including 76 brand-new dishes. Every recipe in the book is gluten-free, dairy-free, and free of refined sugar. The cookbook is organized into these categories:
Breakfast | Smoothies | Salads & Greens | Soups | Mains | Snacks & Gatherings | Vegetables & Sides | Sweets | Drinks
Photography was incredibly important to me—97% of the recipes are photographed. I love flipping through cookbooks that are visually inspiring, so I worked with a talented team to capture the aesthetic I wanted. Bridger and I traveled to Sonoma twice to shoot at the studio, and the team even spent two days at our house to capture lifestyle content. I wanted the book to feel like a reflection of my life: beautiful, warm, and worthy of a coffee table. The photography brings the recipes to life in ways I could only imagine, and I can’t wait for you to see it.
Although I had an amazing support team, every recipe and every detail was written, edited, and perfected by me. I wanted the book to feel like an extension of my kitchen and to provide an authentic RGE experience. For months my days were filled with testing and refining recipes—sometimes trying the same dish two or three times in a row, then doing it again the next day. Ask Bridger how many batches of White Bean Chicken Chili we ate—it was a lot. The process was intense and often challenging, but being a perfectionist paid off: I’m proud to share 110 recipes that I stand behind and that I think you’ll truly enjoy. 💘
