Valentine’s Day Charcuterie Board Ideas and Romantic At-Home Date Night

Happy Valentine’s Day weekend! If you’re anything like Bridge and me, you’re probably keeping plans low-key. For me, good food and couch snuggles with him and the pups are more than enough, so I decided a charcuterie board with a brunch vibe would be the perfect way to celebrate Valentine’s Day morning.

I included a few easy at-home date night ideas below the recipe in case you need inspiration. Bridger and I have been intentional about date nights while quarantining, and these are simple, cozy options that work for a quiet holiday at home.

Ingredients

  • mini waffles, (I used Birch Benders banana paleo waffle mix and added vanilla, cinnamon and Vital Proteins collagen peptides)
  • bacon, (I used Applegate)
  • fresh organic berries

Toppings

  • peanut butter
  • maple syrup
  • manuka honey
  • sliced almonds
  • shredded coconut
  • chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Prepare the mini waffles and cook the bacon. Arrange the waffles, bacon, and fresh berries on a board or large platter. Offer a variety of toppings—peanut butter, maple syrup, manuka honey, sliced almonds, shredded coconut, and chocolate chips—so you and your partner can customize each bite. That’s it—simple, tasty, and festive.

Here are the date night ideas I mentioned, updated and streamlined for an easy, romantic day at home:

Breakfast in Bed: This is a guaranteed mood booster. The Valentine’s Day charcuterie board works brilliantly for breakfast in bed—add fried eggs, avocado, or a small side salad if you like. Hand-delivering breakfast adds a sweet, personal touch.

Cook Dinner Together: Recreate a recipe from your first date or try a dish you’ve both wanted to make. Cooking together is a great way to connect and laugh over the process. Choose something neither of you has made before for a fresh shared experience.

Movie Marathon: Pick favorites or full-on rom-coms for a cozy marathon. Classics or comfort films make this an easy, relaxing way to spend the evening—just pile up the blankets and snacks.

Virtual Wine or Cocktail Class: If you want to try something a little different, take an online cocktail or wine class together. Or simply pick a cocktail recipe to make at home and enjoy crafting drinks side by side.

At-Home Spa: Create a calming mini-spa with face masks, a warm bath, or giving each other massages. It’s a lovely way to slow down, relax, and share a peaceful hour together.

Game Night: Dust off a board game, try a card game, or play something new. If you’re feeling inspired by shows like The Queen’s Gambit, try a quick round of chess—or keep it light with Jenga, Monopoly Deal, or another favorite.

Wishing you a happy Valentine’s Day—don’t forget dessert to finish the celebration! xx
