Ingredients
- 2 lb organic lean ground turkey
- 1/3 cup bell pepper, any color, diced
- 1/3 cup red or yellow onion, diced
- 2 tbsp green onion, chopped
- ½ cup chopped spinach
- 1/4 cup sundried tomato, chopped
- 1/4 cup organic crumbled feta cheese
- 1-2 tbsp fennel seed
- 2 tbsp oregano tomato basil, or Italian seasoning
- Sea salt/pepper to taste
- 1/2 tbsp minced garlic
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp low sodium chicken broth
Instructions
-
For extra flavor, you can sauté the diced bell pepper, onion and sundried tomato in 1 tsp olive oil before adding them to the mix.
-
In a large bowl, combine all ingredients except the olive oil and chicken broth. Mix until evenly distributed, then shape the mixture into 12 patties.
-
Heat a flat top, grill, or skillet over medium heat and add the olive oil. Place the patties on the surface and cook.
-
Cook until golden brown on each side, about 4–5 minutes per side, depending on thickness.
-
If patties are thick and need more time, add the chicken broth to the pan, cover, and steam on low heat until cooked through. Alternatively, finish them in a 350°F oven for about 5 minutes.
-
Allow patties to cool, then store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days, or freeze for longer storage.
