Stacked burger Tacos

Stacked burger Tacos Are a fusion of juicy, seasoned beef patty, melted cheddar, and traditional taco toppings like crisp lettuce, tangy pickles, and creamy, straightforward-to-make from-scratch stacked burger sauce! Also known as Taco Burgers On TikTok, this is a fun twist on both traditional burgers and tacos!
Stacked burger Tacos
In this taco burger recipe, seasoned ground beef is portioned and spread over tortillas. The tortillas are cooked on a hot griddle or skillet until the beef is crispy, then flipped and topped with Cheddar cheese. After melting the cheese, the tacos are finished with shredded lettuce and pickles before serving.

Ingredients:
- Ground beef: This is the main component of the burger, it can be substituted with ground turkey or ground chicken. For this recipe, we use 85/15 or 90/10 beef because it is leaner and less greasy than 80/20 beef.
- Onion powder and Garlic powder: Both of these are used to enhance the flavor of the burger patties. You can use your favorite spices instead.
- Flour tortillas: Serve as the burger bun. Feel free to use corn tortillas or lettuce wraps instead. You could also use toasted hamburger buns in place of tortillas!
- Cheddar cheese slices: These are melted over the burger to add creaminess and a satisfying cheesy flavor. Other cheese varieties like Swiss, Pepper Jack, or Monterey Jack can be used instead.
- Shredded lettuce: This can be substituted with arugula or spinach.
- Pickles: Dill, bread, and butter, or spicy pickles can be used instead for unique flavors. Pickles can also be substituted with sliced cucumbers.
- Sauce: We highly recommend the from-scratch sauce in this recipe but feel free to use your favorite sauce.

Instructions:
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, onion powder, and garlic powder. Mix well until the spices are evenly incorporated into the meat.

Portion the burger mixture into 4 equally sized portions.

Spread each ground beef ball evenly over the tortillas but don’t cover the tortilla completely with the beef. Feel free to also season the meat with salt or taco seasoning if you like.
Stacked burger Sauce Ingredients:
- Mayonnaise
- Ketchup
- Pickle relish
- Apple cider vinegar
- Black pepper to taste

From-scratch stacked burger Sauce Recipe:
In a medium bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, ketchup, pickle relish, apple cider vinegar, and ground black pepper.

Heat up your griddle or large skillet to high heat for searing and then place the tortilla on the skillet meat side down. Smash it down firmly using a burger press or a spatula so as to make it extremely thin. It’s okay if the burger is a little bigger than the tortilla.

Let the meat cook for about 2-3 minutes or until the beef has darkened in color and is crisp on the bottom. Lower the heat to medium heat and place the cheddar cheese slices on top of the beef.
