Recipe Tips

Consider using other fruit options and fruit shapes that your kids or toddlers enjoy, such as veggies, pears, cantaloupe, orange slices, watermelon, honeydew melon, or any kind of melon for this fruit salad Easter dessert.

Do we have to use fresh fruit, or can we use canned or frozen?

Fresh fruit is best for this recipe. You can use canned or frozen fruit, but make sure the fruit is drained well, patted dry, and thawed completely. This will help reduce the amount of liquid that the fruit releases onto the platter.

Notes

  • Storage Instructions: If you have leftover fruit and dip from your Easter bunny fruit platter you can spoon the fruit and dip into separate airtight containers and keep them in the refrigerator. They will both stay fresh for about 3-4 days. If you want to keep the dip longer, you can freeze it for up to 3 months. What size platter did you use? You can use any large platter that you have on hand. Our platter is 13×16 but you could use something larger or smaller (but you might need more or less fruit depending on the size of the platter. If you don’t have a large platter you can make 2 bunnies and use dinner plates or use a large cutting board. Even a lipped baking tray would work. <div class="
